UNEX invested millions into a new paint shop
The metallurgical and engineering complex of UNEX a.s. initiated the operation of a new up-to-date hall intended for the final surface treatments of the cast and welded components. The new paint shop’s capacity is dimensioned to 150 000 m2 of cleansed area of both inner and outer surfaces per year. This was the company’s response to the production increase that has already exhausted the existing capacitie.
The firms of UNEX, Elektroprim and Prodeco have successfully completed the general overhaul of the largest self-propelled machine in the Czech Republic!
On Friday 15 July the metallurgical and engineering complex UNEX a.s., together with Elektroprim-Koutník a.s. and PRODECO a.s., handed over the huge K 2000 mining machine - one of the largest self-propelled ground-based machines on the planet – to the firm of Severočeské doly after successful ten months spent on a general overhaul and modernisation.
UNEX is increasing its machining capacity
As a response to the growing volume of production, the metallurgical and engineering complex UNEX a.s. put into operation a horizontal milling machine of type FÚ 150 V/9, made by TOS Kuřim. The new milling machine is equipped with one of the best numerically controlled control systems - Heidenhain TNC 530i, it is designed for precision machining of medium-sized weldments by milling and drilling, predominantly of components maximum 8m long and weighing up to 5t.
The first modernization of part of the bucket-wheel boom on the KU300 range of excavators has been successfully completed
The metallurgical and engineering complex UNEX a.s., producer of technological units, mechanization parts and castings, has met the deadline for returning to the firm of PRODECO a.s., subsidiary company to Severočeské doly a.s., their KU300/30 –K91 bucket-wheel excavator, which had undergone reconstruction and modernization of the front part of the bucket-wheel boom.
UNEX a.s. Goes Robotic
The metallurgical and engineering complex UNEXa.s., producer of technological units, mechanization parts and castings, has put into operation a Japanese FANUC ARC Mate 120iB welding robot. The robot will be used to weld sub-assembly parts weighing up to 350kg, and in particular for welding batch-manufactured parts.
